{"id":8715,"date":"2025-09-30T16:11:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T14:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblioteka.pb.edu.pl\/?page_id=8715"},"modified":"2025-09-30T16:19:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T14:19:53","slug":"computers-and-the-internet","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/biblioteka.pb.edu.pl\/en\/how-to-use\/computers-and-the-internet\/","title":{"rendered":"Computers and the Internet"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Computer workstations in the Main Library of BUT<\/h2>\n<p>Library of Bialystok University of Technology offers its users access to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15 computer workstations in the Electronic Reading Room on P0 (ground floor).<\/li>\n<li>8 computer workstations in the &#8220;Large&#8221; Book Reading Room on P1.<\/li>\n<li>9 computer workstations in the &#8220;Small&#8221; Book Reading Room on P1.<\/li>\n<li>4 computer workstations in the work rooms on P1: P1\/23, P1\/24, P1\/25, P1\/26.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"alert alert-danger text-center\">Library computers require authentication using a university Office 365 (Microsoft 365) account.<br \/>\nAdditional information about the Office 365 service can be found on the University IT Centre&#8217;s website: <a href=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/uci\/en\/office-365\/\">Office&nbsp;365<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/uci\/en\/office-365\/resetting-your-password-in-office365\/\">Resetting your password in Office365<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"alert alert-success text-center\">An exception applies to computer workstations marked with number 1 (one in each reading room), which are available without authentication and provide access to selected services and basic office software.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n<h2>Computer workstations in the PB departmental libraries<\/h2>\n<p>Library of the Faculty of Architecture:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 computer workstations with Internet access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Library of the Faculty of Management Engineering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 computer workstations with Internet access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Wireless Internet <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1106 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/biblioteka.pb.edu.pl\/app\/uploads\/2022\/01\/ico_eduroam.png\" alt=\"Logo eduroam\" width=\"55\" height=\"20\"><\/h2>\n<p>The purpose of the <strong>eduroam<\/strong> service is to provide users of the scientific environment with an easy and secure connection to the computer network. The service can be used by any employee and student of Bialystok University of Technology with a university e-mail account in the domain: <strong>@pb.edu.pl<\/strong> or <strong>@student.pb.edu.pl<\/strong>.
